German Dumplings

Ingredients

  • Glace Dough:
  • Potatos (peeled & cubed)
  • 2 qts water
  • 1 tblsp salt
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup milk

Preparation

Step 1

Peel and cube potatoes. Boil in large kettle in 2 quarts water with 1 tblsp salt. Boil until almost done. Then spoon in glace. Use a tblsp dipping spoon in hot water after each glace. Bring to full rolling boil Drain & either fry them or brown bread crumbs in butter over glace and potatoes. Also pour light cream over glace.

Glace Dough:
Mix ingredients with spoon until well blended. Spoon out pieces size of a peanut. Glace will swell.
