60% Whole Wheat Grain Bread

Ingredients

  • First:
  • 4 Cups White all Purpose Flour (plus extra for kneading)
  • 5 Cups Whole Wheat Flour
  • 3/4 Cup Rolled Oats
  • 1/3 Poppy Seed
  • 1/3 Sesame Seed
  • 1/3 Wheat Germ
  • (Mix all together until incorporated)
  • Second:(in a separate bowl)
  • 4 Cups Warm Water (you can add more later if you need it)
  • 1 1/2 Tablespoons Instant Yeast
  • 4 Tablespoons Granulated Sugar
  • 4 Tablespoons Canola Oil
  • 2 Teaspoons Salt

Preparation

Step 1

Let the Yeast sit in warm water for at least 3 mins before adding the rest of ingredients. After 3 minutes you can add the rest of ingredients to yeast & mix together and add to flour mixture.

Knead dough, add water if needed until it is a little wet then you can always add extra flour if needed, until dough is no longer sticky.

Lightly flour top of dough and let rise for at least 1 hour, it should double in size.

I usually get 3 pans of bread out of this batch. but you may get more if you make the bread buns a little smaller.

Let bread rise for another hour or so until rose up over pan, place in a preheated 350 oven for 35 - 40 mins.

Take out butter top of bread buns if desired, and Enjoy!
