Roll Out Cookie Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 cup butter softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 lg egg
- nutmeg
- 1 t. almond
- 2 t. baking powder
- 3 cup flour

Step 1
Preheat oven to 400 put rack on top. Cream butter and sugar with electric mixer. Beat in egg and almond. Add baking powder and flour, 1 cup at a time mixing after each cup. The dough will be stiff, blend last cup with hands. DO NOT CHILL. Divide into 2 ball and on a floured surface roll each ball in a circle approx 12" in diameter and 1/8" thick. Use cutters as a guide, dough should be only slightly thinner then the cutter. Dip cutters in flour before each use. Bake on UNGREASED cookie sheet on the top rake for 6-7 mins or until lightly brown. This recipe should be doubled.
