Mary's Baked Beans

Ingredients

  • 3/4 pound of bacon, chopped
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 can pork & beans, undrained
  • 1 can Bush's seasoned recipe black beans, undrained
  • 1 can red kidney beans, drained
  • 1 can white northern beans, drained
  • 1 can butter beans, drained
  • 1 C. ketchup
  • 1/2 C. sugar
  • 1/2 C. packed light brown sugar
  • 3 T. vinegar
  • 2 T. Worcestershire sauce

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

In a large skillet, cook bacon over medium high heat until almost crispy. Add onions and cook for another 5-6 minutes. Reserve 3 T. of
bacon grease, pour off remaining grease. Set aside.

In a large bowl mix all the beans, ketchup, sugars, vinegar & Worcestershire sauce. Add bacon mixture and pour into a 3 quart oven safe dish.

Bake for 45-50 minutes until bubbly hot. Serve immediately.

Do put a cookie sheet under the dish as it might bubble over!
