Ingredients
- Strawberries
- Cream cheese, 1/2 brick, softened at room temperature
- Walnuts OR pecans, chopped into small pieces (approx. 3 T.)
- Vanilla OR almont extract, 1/2 teaspoon
- Mini chocolate chips 6-7 for each strawberry
- Powdered sugar
Preparation
Step 1
Hull berries and hollow a little out of the middle with a small knife.
Rinse and set aside preferrably upside down on paper towel.
Mix cream cheese, nuts & flavoring in a small bowl.
Pipe or use knife to fill cavity of strawberry with cream cheese mixture. Top with mini chocolate chips and chill for a minimum of
one hour.
Depending on how many strawberries you fill, you might need to re-mix another batch of the cream cheese filling. I sometimes do 2 batches with different flavoring. Dust with powdered sugar just before serving.
