Homemade Chocolate Cake Mix

This is great for cakes and cookies. I can always have this mix ready to go at anytime. There is no weird ingredients in it, like the box kind.

Ingredients

• 1 cup dark cocoa
• 2 1/2 cups sugar
• 3 cups flour
• 2 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Step 1

Mix dry ingredients together and store in an airtight container or ziploc bag in a dry cool place.

For baking a cake add to mix:
4 eggs
1 cup butter in 1 cup of boiling water of coffee
1 cup sour cream

Preheat oven to 350F
Beat well and pour into 9x13 inch greased pan
Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

For baking cookies (Fudge Crinkles) add:
18 1/4 oz cake mix (equals one box of cake mix)
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 large eggs
confectioners' sugar or granulated sugar, for rolling (optional)

Preheat oven to 350F
Stir by hand dry cake mix, oil and eggs in a large bowl until dough forms.
Dust hands with confectioners' sugar and shape dough into 1" balls.
Roll balls in confectioners' sugar and place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet.
Bake 8-10 minutes or until center is JUST SET
Remove from baking sheet after a minute or so and cool on wire rack
