- 1 Cup Sugar
- 1/2 Cup Light Corn Syrup
- 1 Cup Walnuts* - chopped
- 1 tsp Butter
- 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- Can use Pecans, if desire

Preparation
Step 1
Butter a baking sheet.
In a 2 qt microwave safe bowl, combine sugar & corn syrup.
Microwave, uncovered, for 3 minutes on high. Stir
Cook, uncovered, on high for 2 1/2 minutes longer.
Stir in walnuts, butter & cinnamon.
Cook, uncovered, for 2 more minuteson high or until mixture turns a light amber color ( mixture will be VERY hot )
Quickly stir in baking soda & vanilla extract until light & foamy.
Immediately pour onto the prepared pan & spread with a metal spatula.
Cool; break into pieces.
Yields: 3/4 Lb
