Ingredients
- 3 cups self-rising flour
- 1/4 cups sugar
- 1 cup chilled in freezer unsalted butter, and then grated into flour
- 1 1/2 cups buttermilk

Step 1
Preheat 375*
Sift self-rising flour and sugar together in large bowl. Add 1 cup butter. Fork through until well coated and coarse crumbs appear. Add buttermilk. (Dough should be very moist) Turn dough out onto generously floured surface board and knead gently about 6 to 8 turns. Roll out to 3/4" thickness. Using 2 1/2" floured biscuit cutter, cut rounds. Reroll dough scraps and cut out additional biscuits. Place on ungreased cast iron skillet very close together starting from center. Bake until lightly golden , about 28 minutes. Serve with Honey Butter.
Mix 1 stick room temp butter with honey! (Yum)
