Authentic KFC Coleslaw: the Real Thing

Tarragon vinegar is the secret ingredient that makes this coleslaw recipe special - the dressing on this fresh cabbage and carrot slaw truly is a secret sauce!

Ingredients

• 6 1/2 tablespoons vegetable oil
• 3/4 cup chopped onion
• 1 cup sugar
• 4 1/2 teaspoons tarragon vinegar
• 2 1/2 cups Miracle Whip salad dressing
• 2 carrots, grated
• 2 heads cabbage, grated

Preparation

Step 1

Mix oil, onions and sugar. Add tarragon vinegar.

Fold in Miracle Whip.

Mix grated carrots and cabbage in large bowl.

Pour Miracle Whip mixture over carrot and cabbage mixture. Fold in well.

Refrigerate in an airtight covered dish.

Best if made the night before serving.
