Bacon, cheese and sunflower kernels marinating in a sweetened vinegar cream sauce along with the raw broccoli makes this broccoli salad a hit whenever you serve it.

Ingredients
- 5 cups bite size broccoli pieces
- 1/4 cup red onion, chopped
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 3 tablespoons sunflower kernels
- 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 3 strips crisply cooked bacon, chopped fine
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
- Pinch salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cracked black pepper
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons vinegar, white or red wine
Preparation
Step 1
Combine salad dressing ingredients and mix until smooth. Add broccoli, onion, raisins, kernels, cheese and bacon. Stir to coat.
Refrigerate a few hours before serving.
