Ingredients
- 6 –7 lb beef brisket
- 1/3 C lemon juice
- 1/3 C brown sugar
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 C ketchup
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/4 C brown sugar
- 1 tsp salt
Preparation
Step 1
1. Mix lemon juice, ⅓ cup brown sugar, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and ketchup together very well and pour over beef brisket
2. Bake covered for 2 – 3 hours at 300°
3. Cool the brisket completely
4. Slice the brisket as thin as possible and remove all fat
5. Mix the following together: 2 tbsp cornstarch, 2 tbsp water and ¼ C brown sugar
6. Spread mixture over the brisket
7. Cover and bake at 300° until desired tenderness
