- 2 pounds beef stew meat of round steak cut in pieces
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 (15 ounce) cans diced tomatoes
- 1 small can tomato paste
- 2 cups water
- 1 (15 ounce) can pinto beans, drained
- 1 (15 ounce) can red or kidney beans, drained
- 1 (15 ounce) can black beans, drained
- 1 (15 ounce) can butter beans (large limas), drained
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 2 tablespoons ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 - 2 teaspoons hot sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 - 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 2 (1 ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate
- Spaghetti

Step 1
Brown the beef with the onion and garlic.
Add remaining ingredients and let simmer for several hours.
Serve over cooked and drained spaghetti.
