Ingredients
- 1/4 pound bacon
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 (15 ounce) can pork and beans*, drained
- 1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans, drained
- 1 (15 ounce) can butter beans, drained
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 tablespoons white vinegar
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- * I use Bush's vegetarian beans instead
Preparation
Step 1
Dice the bacon and fry until crispy. Drain on paper towels. Wipe out skillet.
Cook and stir ground beef in the hot skillet until browned and crumbly. Drain and discard grease. Add onion and cook until clear, about 5 minutes more.
Combine all the ingredients together and stir until well mixed. Put into a casserole and cook at 325° until warmed all the way through (approx. 1 hour).
