  • 3 +1/2 cups flour
  • upto 1/2 cup sugar (if making desert pie, omit sugar)
  • 1 +1/2 cups butter
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 4 tsp. ice cold water

Step 1

Mix yolk and water together in a large bowl, set aside.
In another bowl, conbine flour, sugar and butter until crumbly.
Add to egg mixture and stir together.
Pour into pie plate and press onto bottom and up sides.
