Ingredients
- Syrup:
- 6-8 Yams
- Heat & Stir until clear & slightly thickened
- 2 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 stick butter
- 1/2 - 3/4 c. water
- 1 T. lemon juice
- Salt –dash
Preparation
Step 1
Peel the potatoes then cook them in water until just fork tender; peel and slice to 1” thick slices
Layer slices in bottom of baking dish and pour some syrup over all. Repeat with syrup & layers ending with syrup.
Bake 375 degrees for 30 minutes
Serve extra syrup in a pitcher at table
