Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 C flour
  • 2 1/4 C sugar
  • 2 1/4 sticks of margarine
  • 6 heaping Tbs Cocoa
  • 1 1/4 C water
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 1/2 C nuts
  • 1 1/4 C buttermilk

Preparation

Step 1

Combine margarine, cocoa and water. Bring to a boil. Pour boiled liquid over flour and sugar. Mix well. In small bowl combine baking soda, eggs and vanilla. Add to mixture along with buttermilk and nuts. Mix well. Spread on cookie sheet (greased) Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Frost with chocolate fudge icing while hot. cool.
