  • 1 cup (8 oz) unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 5 Tbs sour cream
  • 2 Tbs vanilla extract
  • pinch salt
  • 3 cups (12 oz) flour

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In bowl of electric mixer beat until light and fluffy. Add sugar gradually, until well blended. Add sour cream, vanilla extract, salt and beat well. Gradually add flour and bear slowly until mixture is well blended. It should be soft and moist to the touch but not sticky. Divide dough into 4 pieces and form into long rolls. Fit cookie gun with one roll of dough. Press cookies onto a lightly buttered baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes, until cookies are firm and pale golden. Transfer to cooling rack. When cold, decorate top with colored icing.
