Mom's Beef Stew

Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef stew meat
  • flour
  • oil
  • water
  • carrots
  • potatoes
  • green peppers
  • onions
  • celery
  • 1 big can tomato sauce
  • 1 small can tomato paste

Preparation

Step 1

Cover meat with flour and brown in oil. Add water 1/2 way in pan. Cover lid to side and let simmer 1 hour to 1 1/2 hour. Add vegetables (quartered and can be frozen). Add tomato sauce and tomato paste. Simmer one more hour.
