  • 3 1/2 lbs ground beef
  • 3 1/2 cups wheat
  • 2 fist sized onions
  • 1/2 cup dry mint leaves
  • water
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1/2 tsp allspice
  • olive oil
  • butter

Preparation

Step 1

Put onions, mint and water in chopper and blend. Pour over beef and wheat. Cover with salt (quite a bit) and pepper and allspice. knead together and put in 13 x 9 pan. Line with diamond shapes and put 9 finger holes in shape of cross. Put 1 pat of butter on each finger hole and spread a little olive oil on the rest with fingertips. Cook at 350 degrees for 1 hour 15 minutes.
