Fat Sam's Meaty Melted Man Dip
By kimvess
Is it football season yet? Here's a quick, spicy sausage cheese dip. This isn't tea party food, nothing dainty or low-fat about it! This is an appetizer that eats like a MEAL and it keeps guests coming back to the bowl. You may have to work out twice to make up for it, but you'll be happy you did!
Ingredients
- 1 pound bulk pork breakfast sausage
- 2 (1 1/4 ounce) packets taco seasoning
- 2 cups water, plus more as needed
- 2 pounds Velveeta(R) cheese, cubed

Preparation
Step 1
Brown the sausage in a large skillet over high heat until the crumbly and no longer pink. Strain the meat in a metal colander, pressing out all of the grease, then return to the skillet over medium heat.
Sprinkle in the taco seasoning, and cook over medium heat 3 to 4 minutes until fragrant. Pour in the water and bring to a simmer; cook 5 minutes.
Stir in the Velveeta cheese cubes until dissolved, then season with hot sauce. Reduce heat to low, and cook 5 minutes more. Add more water if needed to maintain a dip consistency.
