Chex Mix

A twisted Chex mix that can be tweaked to suit your taste. You can easily substitute your favorite ingredients for those listed in the recipe.

Ingredients
- 2 cups Corn Chex cereal
- 2 cups Rice Chex cereal
- 2 cups Wheat Chex cereal
- 2 cups mixed nuts
- 2 cups extra large peanuts
- 2 cups bite-size pretzels (Pretzel Snaps work well)
- 2 cups Thin savory crackers or garlic-flavor bite-size bagel chips
- 6-8 tablespoons butter or margarine (use more if you like a more moist mix)
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 1/2 teaspoons seasoned salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons savory seasoning (Rudy's Rib Rub, Memphis style seasoning or bacon salt)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 3/4 teaspoon onion powder
Preparation
Step 1
1. Pre-heat oven to 250°.
2. In large bowl, mix cereals, nuts, pretzels, crackers and chips; set aside.
3. Microwave butter uncovered on High about 40 seconds or until melted. Stir in seasonings.
4. Pour over cereal mixture; stir until evenly coated, then place into ungreased roasting pan.
5. Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Spread on paper towels to cool, about 15 minutes.
Store in airtight container. Enjoy
