  • 1 cup Crisco
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream
  • 3-1/2 cups sifted flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup nuts
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Step 1

Cream Crisco and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time and mix. Add vanilla and sour cream, mix until well blended. In a separate bowl, combine sifted flour, baking soda, salt, nutmeg and cinnamon. Mix dry ingredients with wet until well blended. Add nuts, raisins and chocolate chips. Mix until well blended. Put into refrigerator for 3 hours or overnight. Roll into small balls and bake for 15-20 minutes in an oven at 350 degrees.

*When you first start baking, bake at 16 minutes. When oven is hot, bake at 15 minutes.
