Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preparation
Step 1
Sift and measure flour. Resift with salt, soda and baking powder. Cream shortening. Add sugars, cream until light and fluffy. Add peanut butter, blend well. Add beaten egg to shortening-sugar mixture. Add vanilla. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Mold into balls 1-inch in diameter and place on ungreased baking sheet. Press down crisscross with floured fork. Bake at 375 degrees 10-12 minutes.
