Easy Reese's Fudge 1 Picture

Ingredients

  • 1 (11-12 oz) package Hershey's milk chocolate chips (2 cups)
  • 1 (15.5 - 16 oz) container Chocolate frosting (I use Betty Crocker Rich & Creamy)
  • 16 - 18 Reese's Snack Size Peanut Butter Cups, chilled

Preparation

Step 1

Unwrap Reese's cups and put in the freezer until needed. (I found they were easier to break or chop if they were chilled.)

Line an 8x8" dish with aluminum foil then lightly spray it with cooking spray. (I used my hand to smear bottom and sides.) Break or chop the peanut butter cups then return them to freezer or refrigerator until ready to layer the fudge.

Melt the chocolate chips as directed on package. (I used a small, non-stick pot on the stove top.) Remove from heat. Stir the frosting in its container, then spoon it into the melted chocolate, stirring until smooth. Spoon about half of the mixture evenly in the prepared dish. Sprinkle half the Reese's pieces over the chocolate. Top with remaining chocolate mixture. Sprinkle other half of Reese's on top, lightly pressing it into the chocolate.

Refrigerate for at least an hour, or until hardened then cut into about 1-inch squares and serve. Store in the refrigerator.

NOTE:
To make Creamy Chocolate Fudge, just omit the Reese's candy, and add chopped nuts, if desired.
