Raw Apple Cake

My friend Lori S. gave this recipe to me over 30 years ago. I have baked this cake many times through the years and it is a very moist and flavorful cake.

I usually bake it in a bundt pan, which turns out perfect.

Note: The original recipe called for oleo, but I use butter.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 4 cups Apples, diced
  • 1 cup Chopped Nuts
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 2 cups Flour
  • 2 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp Nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp Allspice

Preparation

Step 1

Cream butter and sugar.

Beat in eggs and vanilla.

Stir in apples and nuts.

Blend dry ingredients into mixture.

Spread into 9x13 pan.

Bake at 350 for about 40 minutes
