Ingredients

  • 1 box matzo
  • 1 bag chocolate chips
  • 1 bag caramels
  • 1 bag crushed nuts (walnuts or pecans are best)
  • 1 container peanut butter

Preparation

Step 1

1. Preheat the oven to 350ºF.
2. Heat caramels in a heavy saucepan on medium-low heat until melted.
3. Place sheets of matzo on a baking sheet lined with tin foil as the caramels are melting.
4. Pour the melted caramel onto the matzo.
5. Place it in the oven and wait until caramel begins to bubble (around 3 minutes).
6. Take the baking sheet out of the oven and sprinkle with chocolate chips.
7. Wait for the chocolate to melt and then spread it to cover the matzo.
8. Spoon a dollop of peanut butter on top and spread evenly.
9. To top it off, sprinkle on some chopped nuts.
10. Refrigerate until firm, around 20-30 minutes.
11. Break apart and enjoy.
