Slow Cooker Sweet & Sour Spare Ribs

Ingredients
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/3 cup water
- 1/2 cup vinegar
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 3 lbs meaty pork spare ribs, cut in 2-3 rib sections
Preparation
Step 1
Mix brown sugar and flour in a saucepan. Add water, then vinegar, soy sauce, ketchup, ginger, garlic powder. Cook and stir over over medium heat until boiling and thickened.
Layer ribs in 4-6 quart crockpot spooning sauce over each layer. Cover and cook on low for 10-12 hours or on High for 5-6 hours until ribs are very tender.
