Ingredients

  • 4 cups Flour
  • 2 tbsp Baking Powder
  • 2 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1-2 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 pkg Yeast
  • 6 Eggs
  • 1 quart Buttermilk

Preparation

Step 1

Separate egg yolks and egg whites. Beat egg whites until peaks form. Set aside.

Mix buttermilk and baking soda, beating until foamy.

Dissolve yeast in 2 tbsp warm water. Set aside until dissolved.

Mix flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, yeast and cooking oil into buttermilk mixture. Fold in egg whites until blended. Don't over mix.

Cook on a hot oiled griddle.
