  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar

Step 1

Into a mixing bowl sift together flour, baking soda and baking powder. On low speed of mixer cut in butter until mixture looks like cornmeal. In a small mixing bowl beat eggs; add sugar and beat thoroughly. Blend egg mixture into flour-butter mixture. Chill dough for 1 hour. Roll dough to 1/8-inch thickness; cut. Sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 375deg for 6 to 8 minutes. Yields: 6 dozen.
