Ingredients

  • Dates:
  • 1 Pound (454 GR) of minced dates
  • 1 Cup (250 ml) cold water
  • 4 Tbsp (60 ml) of brown
  • 4 Tbsp (60 ml) of orange juice
  • 2 C. Tea (10 ml) of lemon juice
  • Biscuits:
  • 1 Cup (250 ml) of butter, ambient temperature
  • 1 Cup (250 ml) of brown
  • 2 Cups (500 ml) of oats
  • 2 Cups (500 ml) of flour
  • 1 C. Tea (5 ML) of baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) boiling water
  • 1 C. Tea (5 ML) of vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Prepare date topping - in an average pan, mix dates, cold water, Brown, orange juice, lemon juice.

Cook with medium fire, stirring often, until thick and smooth. Remove fire and let cool while you make cookies.

Prepare cookies - line a parchment paper cookie plate. Put aside.

Preheat the oven to 375°

In a large bowl to mix, beat the butter and brown to smooth consistency, by scraping the walls of the bowl as needed. Incorporate Oatmeal. Then incorporate flour, baking soda and salt.

Add boiling water and vanilla and mix well. The Paste will be friable but will stick when you would it in your hand Make a little ball of dough and crush with a fork.

Cook in the oven at 375 until they are slightly golden, about 10 to 15 minutes. Remove fire and let cool on a cookie plate for about 5 TO 8 minutes before removing the grid to let it cool completely.

Once Cooled, grab a cookie and fill out the date mix, cooled. Cover another cookie.
