MISSISSIPPI MUD CAKE

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 4 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups plain flour
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped nuts
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • Pinch of salt

Preparation

Step 1

Melt margarine and cocoa together and add eggs and sugar. Blend in flour, nuts, vanilla and salt. Bake in oblong pan 35 minutes at 350deg. Sprinkle top of cake with 1 small package miniature marshmallows. Return to oven just long enough to melt marshmallows.

Combine:
1 box powdered sugar
¼ cup milk
1/3 cup cocoa
1 stick margarine

Mix well and spread on cake. Let stand awhile before serving.
