Easy Lemon Sage Chicken

Sautéed chicken breasts with a quick and easy lemon, sage and butter sauce will score high with the entire family! The flavors of aromatic sage, tangy lemon and sweet butter meld to compliment one another. Finished as a sauce over perfectly sautéed chicken breasts creates the ultimate meal and flavor sensation!

Ingredients
- 4 medium skinless, boneless chicken-breast halves
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/3 cup white wine
- 2 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
- 1 teaspoon chopped fresh sage
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/3 teaspoon Salt and pepper Combined

Step 1
On a clean cutting board, using a smooth-surfaced meat mallet or rolling pin, pound chicken breasts to an even 3/4 inch thickness.** Combine salt with pepper and sprinkle evenly over chicken. Preheat a 12-inch skillet to medium high and pour in oil.
Carefully place chicken breasts in the skillet and cook each side for 3 minutes (turning once) until golden brown. Remove chicken breasts from pan and set aside covered with aluminum foil to keep warm.
Drain excess oil from the pan, retaining any remaining chicken juices. In the same pan, pour in chicken broth and white wine. Cook over medium-high heat for 3 minutes to reduce. Remove from heat, whisk in lemon juice, sage, parsley, and cold butter until melted and serve immediately over chicken breasts.
**Key: While pounding the chicken, to keep it intact, place it between two sheets of plastic film or parchment paper.
