BREAKFAST CASSEROLE

Ingredients

  • 8 slices bread
  • 1 3/4 cups shredded cheese
  • 1 pound sausage
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons prepared mustard
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Preparation

Step 1

Place bread in greased casserole dish. Top with cheese. Brown and drain sausage. Place crumbled sausage on top of cheese. Beat eggs with 2 cups milk and mustard. Pour over sausage. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Next morning dilute soup with 1/2 cup milk and salt. Pour over all. Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes at 350deg until it puffs up and browns.
