  • 1 ham
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • Dash of ground cloves
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons fruit juice

Step 1

Place ham fat side up on rack in shallow pan. Do not cover or add water. Score ham fat in diamonds (cut only 1/4 inch deep). Insert meat thermometer. Roast in slow oven (325deg) until internal temperature of meat reaches 170deg for fresh pork or 135deg to 140deg for fully cooked ham.

Meanwhile prepare mustard glaze. The last 30 minutes of cooking time, spoon fat from pan. Spoon glaze over ham. Continue baking; baste occasionally.
