Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups cooked turkey, chicken, pork or ham, cubed
  • 2 to 3 green onions, cut in 1/2-inch slices
  • 1 (4 ounce) can mushroom bits and pieces, drained
  • 1/2 cup water chestnuts, sliced
  • 1 (3 ounce) package noodle soup (Ramen noodles) Japanese
  • 2 cups boiling water (use mushroom liquid as part)
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cold water
  • 4 tablespoons oil for frying

Preparation

Step 1

Dissolve cornstarch in soy sauce and cold water. Prepare all ingredients. Have water boiling.

Set wok on high heat. Add 2 tablespoons oil; heat until hot.

Stir-fry meat 1 minute. Move up on Hold'r Shelf. Stir-fry vegetables 1 minute. Add 2 tablespoons oil. Fry uncooked block of Ramen noodles until light brown on each side. Very slowly, pour in boiling water and simmer 3 minutes, breaking up noodle block with turner. Return meat and vegetables to bowl of wok. Slowly stir in corn starch mixture. Cook just until thickened. Garnish with additional chopped green onion. Hearty one-dish meal!
