Ingredients
- Frosting:
- 1 cup water
- 2 sticks butter
- 4 Tbsp cocoa
- 2 cups flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 - 8 oz. sour cream
- 1 tsp soda
- 1 stick butter
- 4 Tbsp cocoa
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 box powdered sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
Preparation
Step 1
Bring the butter, water and cocoa to boil. Remove from heat and add flour, sugar and salt. Mix until smooth. Then add eggs, sour cream and soda. Pour into greased sheet pan with 1/2 inch sides. Bake at 375 for 20-22 minutes.
Frosting:
Bring butter, cocoa and milk to a boil; boil 2 minutes. Remove from heat and add the sugar and vanilla. Spread quickly on warm cake and add chopped nuts, if desired.
