BURGER BUNS

Ingredients
- 1/4 cup water
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 3 1/2 cup bread flour
- 1 teaspoons salt
- 4 teaspoons sugar
- 2 1/4 teaspoon active dry yeast

Step 1
combine yeast, 1 cup flour, and other dry ingredients. heat water/milk to 120 degrees F
combine dry mixture, milk mixture and oil in mixing bowl with paddle or beaters for 4 minutes on medium speed. add egg. beat 1 minute. gradually add remaining flour and knead with dough hook 5 to 7 minutes until smooth and elastic. place dough in lightly oiled bowl and turn to grease top. cover and let rise 1 hour.
turn dough onto lightly floured surface. punch down to remove air bubbles. divide into two equal pieces. divide each half into 4 pieces. shape each piece into a smooth ball. place on greased cookie sheets. flatten to a 4 inch diameter. cover and let rise 1 hour. bake in preheated 400 degree F oven for 10 to 12 minutes. remove from cookie sheet to cool.
FOR HOTDOG BUNS
shape each piece into a 6x4 inch rectangle. starting with longer side, roll up tightly, pressing dough into roll with each turn. pinch edges and ends to seal. place on greased cookie sheet. let rise and bake as directed above.
