SLOW COOKER OATMEAL

Dr. Arthur Agatson's recipe from the South Beach Diet Supercharged.
Make up a week's worth and just warm what you need each morning.

Ingredients
- 1 cup steel-cut oats
- 1 cup choppeddried apples
- 3 tablespoons granular sugar substitute
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3-1/2 cups water
- 1/2 cup fat-free (or 1%) milk to a 2-quart slow cooker rubbed with 1 tablespoon trans-free margarine.
- Cook on low 6 to 8 hours.
- 1 cup has5 g soluble fiber and helps lower LDL cholesterol
