Ingredients

  • 1 box yellow cake mix or basic yellow cake
  • 1 cup eggnog
  • 1/4 cup dark rum
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons freshly grated nutmeg
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup basic vanilla icing or store bought vanilla icing
  • 24 oz white chocolate, for coating
  • 1/4 about 1/4 cup freshly grated nutmeg, for garnish

Step 1

1. Mix together the ingredients for making a yellow cake substituting the eggnot for the water, if using the box version, or for the milk, if making the cake from scratch. Stir in the rum and nutmeg.

2. Follow the instructions for baking the cake.

3. While the cake is cooling, prepare the icing or open your store bought icing.

4. After the cake has cooled, crumble, mix with icing, form into balls, roll, and freeze for at least 2 hours.

5. After the cake balls are dipped in white chocoalte, drizzle them with fine lines of chocolate and sprinkle with the nutmeg.
