Ingredients

  • Icing:
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup Crisco or margarine—I always use Crisco
  • 2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 2 cups of flour
  • 2 eggs—slightly beaten
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
  • Powdered sugar
  • vanilla
  • milk
  • food coloring

Preparation

Step 1

Mix sugar, eggs, vanilla together until smooth. Add Crisco and blend until smooth. Gradually add small amount of flour and baking powder mixture until you have your cookie dough. Refrigerate overnight or at least for several hours before trying to roll out.

Take dough out of frig and cut ball of dough in half. Return other half to frig. Only work with one half at a time or the dough will get too sticky.

Roll onto floured surface. Roll out with rolling pin. Use whatever cookie cutters you want. Bake at 375 until golden brown.
