Easy French Bread

Found this recipe and tried it. It was so easy. And the bread is outstanding. Quick and easy, give it a try!!!!
Ingredients
- 2-1/2 cup warm water (about 90-100 degrees)
- 2 tbsp yeast
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 3 tbsp vegetable or canola oil
- 5-1/2 to 6 cups flour ( I used bread flour)

Step 1
1. In large bowl add warm water, Sprinkle yeast and then sugar over water and mix gently. Let is sit for 5-10 minutes till you see yeast get bubbly on top.
2. Stir in salt, oil and flour.
3. With hands, knead in bowl a few minutes till smooth and begins to pull from bowl.
4. Cover bowl with a very warm wet towel and let it 15 minutes.
5. Divide dough into 2 equal parts.
6. Roll each part on lightly floured surface (I used a rolling pin) to about 12-14" long and 8" wide.
7. Tuck in edges and roll up jelly roll style.
8. Move to lightly greased cookie sheet.
9. Using a sharp knife, slash tops of each loaf about 6 times.
10. Heat oven to 375.
11. Let loaves sit on sheet till oven is hot.
12. Beat 1 egg white beaten with 1 tbsp cold water.
13. About 20 minutes into baking, brush each top with egg mixture.
14. Bake another 10 minutes till bread is done.
Option: Sprinkle sesame seeds, poppy seeds or other grain on top when you brush egg mixute on.
