Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 c. all purpose flour
  • 1/2 T. active dry yeast
  • 1/2 T. vital wheat gluten
  • 2 1/2 T. sugar
  • 1/4 t. salt
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 2 1/2 T. butter, room temp
  • 1 egg, room temperature
  • 3 T. mayonnaise
  • 3 T. melted butter/margarine
  • 6 T. Parmesan cheese (Real stuff)
  • 1/4 t. garlic powder
  • 2 t. dried parsley
  • Shaped into 1.5 oz balls, put on Silpat baking sheet.
  • Can use frozen store bought roll dough if desired.

Preparation

Step 1

Put 1 c. flour, yeast, gluten, sugar and salt into mixing bowl. In separate bowl, mix milk, butter and heat to 110°F. Add egg and mix into flour mix. Let sit for 10 min. Add rest of flour, mix, till you have a soft, smooth and elastic dough. Cover and rise for 30 min. Shape into 12 rolls.

In three separate bowls, put Mayo in one bowl, melted butter in another bowl and combined shredded Parmesan cheese with garlic powder and parsley in the last bowl.

Take ball of dough, dip the top half into each bowl starting with mayo, then, butter, and finally cheese. Place roll into a greased muffin tin, or baking sheet, cheese side up. Let rise till double (20 min) and bake at 375° for 12-14 minutes.
