Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 eggs
- 4 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- jam,prune,nuts for filling
Preparation
Step 1
In a bowl beat butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla together. Add flour and salt. Mix well. This would make a stiff dough.
Roll dough flat with a rolling pin. Turn a glass upside down and press it down hard on the dough to cut a circle.
Fill each circle with a spoonful of jam or topping.
Pinch the corners of the dough together to form a triangle. Put the hamantaschen on a well greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 degrees,for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
