Butter Tart Squares

This simple recipe for Butter Tart Squares can be made in under an hour start to finish, and is so worth it. Add raisins and walnuts for extra texture and flavor.

Ingredients

  • CRUST:
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1 cup rice flour
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • FILLING:
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup oatmeal gluten free
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/2 walnuts, (optional)

Preparation

Step 1

CRUST:
Combine ingredients and add to a greased 9x13-inch pan. Bake at 350°F for 15 minutes.

FILLING:
Combine ingredients and put over baked crust. Bake again for 20 minutes.

Remove from oven and let cool. Cut into squares, serve and enjoy!
