Ingredients
- Rice:
- 1 lb of beef cubes
- 3 potatoes cut in cubes
- 1/2 big onion
- 2 tablespoons of vegetable/canola oil
- 1 small of tomato sauce
- 4 cups of water
- 1 teaspoon of black pepper
- Salt
- Cinnamon
- 2 Bay Leaves
- Pressure Cooker
- 1 cup of long grain rice
- 1/2 cup of vermicelli
- 2 cups of water
- Salt
- 1 tablespoon of Canola oil
- Stewpot
Preparation
Step 1
Stew:
1- Chop the onion into small pieces
2- Heat the oil in the pressure cooker and add the onions
4- When the onions are gold-ish color add the beef cubes
5- Add the black pepper and salt (as desired) and sprinkle some cinnamon
6- After the meat is cooked, add the potato cubes, tomate sauce, water and the bay leaves
7- Close the pressure cooker lid and let it cook for 35 minutes
8- After 35 minutes, let it rest for 15 minutes before opening the lid
Rice:
1- Heat the oil and add the vermicelli
2- Once the vermicelli are gold-ish, drain the rice and add them
3- Sprinkle some salt and and add water
4- Stir and let it cook for 10 minutes (check and see if the rice is done, if not leave it for an extra 2-3 minutes)
Serve:
Serve it hot. Place the rice and on top of it the stew.
