  • 2 cups sifted.confectioners' sugar
  • 1/4 cup soft sweet butter
  • 1 teaspoon cream, or more if needed
  • dash of salt
  • finely grated rind of 1 lemon
  • juice of l lemon
  • Makes 1 cup

Preparation

Step 1

Blend well sifted confection­ers' sugar and butter.

Beat in 1 teaspoon cream, dash of salt, finely grated lemon rind and juice.

Thin or thicken icing by adding more sugar or more cream.
