Fettuccine with bacon, peas and parmesan

Ingredients
- 9 ounces fresh fettuccine noodles
- 6 slices bacon
- 1/2 cup chopped onions
- 2 tsp minced garlic
- 1 Tbls fresh thyme
- 1/2 cup frozen peas
- 1/2 cup chopped green onion bulbs (1 bundle)
- 1/3 cup half and half cream
- 2 tsp butter
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup shredded parmesan cheese

Preparation
Step 1
1 Cook pasta according to package directions, omitting salt and fat. Drain pasta, serving 1/4 cup cooking liquid.
2 Cook bacon in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat until crisp. Remove bacon from pan, resrving drippings in the pan. Crumble.
3 Add chopped onion, garlic and thyme to drippings in pan; saute 2 minutes. Stir in green peas; saute 1 minute. Stir in green peas; saute 1 minute. Add green onions in pan; saute 2 minutes. Add pasta reserved cooking liquid and half-and-half to pan. Cook 1 minute until thoroughly heated, tossing to combine.
4 Remove from heat. Add butter, salt, and pepper to pan; toss until butter melts. Sprinkle wih crumbled bacon and parmesan cheese.
