Ingredients

  • Salt, pepper and granualted garlic to taste
  • Enough regular cola to fill your roasting pan to a depth of 1/3 inch
  • Your favorite barbecue sauce
  • 2 1/2 ponds of baby back ribs

Preparation

Step 1

1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees.

2. Rub both sides of each rack of ribs with salt, pepper and granulated garlic.

3. Place meat atop a wire rack in a deep roasting pan.

4. Pour soda to approximately 1/3 inch in bottom of pan.

5. Cover pan tightly with aluminum foil.

6. Roast at 300 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes (time is the same whether it is one or two racks that are being cooked).

7. Remove from oven, uncover foil (beware of hot steam coming out of the pan) and remove ribs.

8. Place ribs on grill and brush each side with favorite barbecue sauce.

9. Cook five minutes per side.

NOTE: Ribs can be prepared up to two days ahead up through step 7. If prepared ahead of time, bring to room temperature and then complete steps 8 and 9.
