Ingredients
- 1/2 pound sweet OR hot Italian sausage, casings
- removed
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 clove garlic, pressed
- 1 (14.5-oz.) can low sodium chicken broth
- 1 (15-oz.) can Italian-style diced tomatoes
- 1 (16-oz.) can white beans (Great Northern or cannellini)
- 1/2 teaspoon dry oregano, crushed
- 1/2 teaspoon dry marjoram, crushed
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Dash of crushed red pepper flakes, to taste

Preparation
Step 1
In a large heavy saucepan over medium-high heat, brown and break up sausage;
add onion and garlic; cook and stir until soft, about 3 minutes. Add remaining ingredients; transfer to slow cooker.
Cover and cook on Low for 6 to 8 hours.
SERVING SUGGESTION: A big salad and some crusty bread.
