New Orleans Pralines

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 tsp. butter
  • 2 cups chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Boil sugar and cream together until it reaches firm ball stage-remove from heat (drop a bit into cold water).
Add butter and vanilla, cool.
Add nuts and stir. Drop by tbls. onto a buttered paper or waxed paper-let harden.
